This week, we will finish up our books and library project. First, we will take a look at libraries and how they organize their books by type, author, and topic.
Then, the children will learn the differences between fiction and non fiction books. Meaning factual or fantasy. The children will look through their books in the classroom and sort them in to the two categories. Then, they will choose one type of book to create themselves.
Through out the week the children will write their story and decide to use real pictures or draw their own.
In continuation of celebrating Hispanic heritage month, we will learn about the artist Pablo Picasso. We will look at several of his pieces and the children will then create their own work of art using paint.
