Welcome back!
This week starts our three week project on community helpers. Our focus this week is talking about the people who help take care of us, our community helpers. First, we will determine what community helper is. Then, our children will list as many as they can and group them into three categories. The people who care for us, the people who protect us, and the people who provide for us. Then we’ll look closely at doctors, nurses and dentists.
And then the children will have a chance to share their experiences and discuss what each person does and the tools that they use.
Finally, each child will create a hospital, create signs, people, vehicles and equipment that would be found in each place.
