Thanksgiving Foods

This week, we will be celebrating thanksgiving. We will start by discussing the Native American tribes and how they helped new settlers learn to grow new food and prepare it to save for the cold winter months.

Next, we will look at traditional thanksgiving foods that we eat today. The children will share some traditions that their families have during the holiday. The teacher will share some fun facts about turkeys such as only the male turkey gobbles and wild turkeys can actually fly.

As a reminder, we will be closed Thursday and Friday for Thanksgiving and the day after Thanksgiving.
Happy holidays!
