This week, our children will start a 4-week project on Space and our Solar System. This week’s focus will be learning what the planets are in our solar system. We will also learn some fun facts about the sun, moon and stars. Such as the moon’s shape seems to change but it’s actually the way the sun reflects off of it creating a shadow. And did you know that the sun is actually a star? Also, the average star is between 1 and 10 billion years old.
Then, our children use different art materials to create models of all of these. They will also start a class solar system mural which they will continue to add new things as they learn throughout the project.
