Cinco De Mayo

The Learning Center of South Park

This is our third and final week of our Garden Project. This week, the children will learn what animals live in and around gardens. Which animals are good vs which animals are bad for gardens. Then we will divide our list into herbivores and omnivores.
Next, we will take a closer look at the insects that live in gardens and why some can be harmful to the food in our gardens.
Lastly, we’ll close out the project, with the children creating their own 3D diorama model of a garden to show all the information they’ve learned using a variety of art materials.
And let’s not forget Cinco de Mayo. To celebrate, the children will make their own maracas and sombreros. Fun!
