Sand Lake, Orlando, FL

Sand Lake, Orlando is a beautiful place.
It has all the things any good vacation spot should have: parks, bike trails, and golf courses. It also has plenty of restaurants and shops to keep you busy when the weather’s not cooperating. There are lots of activities for families with children, including splash pads, mini-golf, and go-karts! But what sets Sand Lake apart from other cities in Florida is its proximity to Orlando theme parks like Disneyworld and Universal Studios. The hotels in this area offer special rates for guests staying at least three nights who buy tickets in advance so they can enjoy their vacations without having to worry about how much money they’re spending each day.

It’s one of my favorite places to vacation with the kids. But sadly, it doesn’t have a zoo. And that’s why last summer I was so excited when a friend told me about a small “zoo” she’d discovered at Mall at Millenia in Orlando. She said she took her kids there, and they loved it! She had purchased her tickets online, but she saw that they were free when she got there. The only cost was parking the car at the mall.

The best grocery stores in Sand Lake, Orlando, are probably Publix and Target. These places have a wide selection of food and some organic options for those who want them. Some people have talked about Aldi’s as a good grocery store, but I don’t think it’s a popular choice. For restaurants, some favorites are Olive Garden, Crescent Moon Bistro, and Chipotle. Olive Garden is a fine dining restaurant, but it’s also casual. Crescent Moon Bistro has Indian food options, and Chipotle is toned down Tex-Mex. Louie’s Italian Restaurant and Shari Sushi & Grill are the best places to eat near Sand Lake, Orlando is Louie’s Italian Restaurant, and Shari Sushi & Grill. Louie’s Italian Restaurant is an upscale dining experience with an extensive menu of salad options, stromboli, gnocchi, and eggplant lasagna. More casual restaurants are all over the city too. Shari Sushi & Grill is a local sushi place that’s better than some of the chains in this area.

Shopping near Sand Lake, Orlando runs the gamut. Shopping at Millenia is very lovely with high-end stores like Louis Vuitton and Apple. Some mid-range stores like the Banana Republic, White House Black Market, and Johnston & Murphy.
Nearby Mall West is a smaller mall with more affordable options, including Bath & Body Works, Aveda Salon & Spa, and an AMF Bowling Center. Mall at Millenia also has a nice AMC movie theater where you’ll find the latest films, including IMAX 3D!

A big attraction near Sand Lake, Orlando, is, of course, Universal Studios. Several hotels in the area offer reduced rates for guests who purchase tickets before their arrival. The rates vary depending on the hotel and time of year, but you’ll save money if you buy your tickets ahead of time. If theme parks aren’t your thing, there’s plenty else to do around Sand Lake, Orlando, including a trip to Fun Spot America Theme Park & Attractions! Located just ten minutes from downtown, Fun Spot is an all-ages amusement park with rides like the Freedom Flyer, Sky Coaster, and Outlaw Run. It also has a go-kart track that’s open to guests over 40″ tall.

You can find fun shops in Sand Lake, Orlando, at places like Fun Spot America Theme Park & Attractions, where you’ll find rides like the Freedom Flyer, Sky Coaster, and Outlaw Run. You can also visit a beautiful place like the Holy Land Experience. It’s an evangelical Christian theme park that recreates ancient biblical times and teaches people about Jesus Christ. Themed areas include Bethlehem, Nazareth, Jerusalem in Israel, along with a recreation of Noah’s Ark from the book of Genesis in an adjoining attraction called Awe-Inspiring Construction.

The main attraction at Universal Studios is the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. Hogsmeade and Hogwarts surround you in this area – two fictional places from JK Rowling’s books. The whole thing looks exactly like it does in the movies, but more interactive for guests who can ride on a few rides explicitly designed for this section of Universal Studios.
