Pine Castle, Orlando, FL

Pine Castle, Orlando is located in central Florida in the United States. It was founded in 1887 when two homesteaders settled there. The name of the settlement came about because of the many pine trees in the area. The population of Pine Castle is estimated to be 2,274 people, according to the U.S. census bureau. It is part of the Orlando metropolitan area.
The town was initially developed as a citrus plantation; orange, grapefruit, and tangerine groves were planted in the region. It is now primarily an industrial town with high-tech companies like Teco Energy, Inc., ON Semiconductor, and Photo Imaging Systems, Inc., headquartered in Pine Castle. The city has many other different types of business, though. There are several restaurants and shops in the area.

There are two elementary schools, three middle schools, and a high school that serve the town’s students. An air quality study conducted by Florida State University found that Pine Castle has better air quality than most Orange County, Florida.
The Pine Castle Christian Academy is located in Pine Castle. The school was founded in 1970 and is open to students of all denominations. It has around 300 students, with the majority of them coming from Pine Castle and Orlando. The school teaches grades Pre-K 3 through 12th grade.

The town has one park, which is called Clear Lake Park. It is located along West Colonial Drive. There is also a library in the town which is part of the Orange County Library System and has over 38,000 items. The library’s hours are Monday through Thursday 9-8 pm, Friday and Saturday 9-5 pm, and Sunday 1-5 pm. Walmart Supercenter, Publix Super Markets, KFC, Taco Bell, and McDonald’s are among the best grocery stores in Pine Castle. Major shopping malls in the area include Florida Mall, Colonial Plaza Market Place, and Orlando Fashion Square.

There are many restaurants located in Pine Castle. These restaurants are Applebee’s Neighborhood Grill & Bar, Bonefish Grill, Chili’s Grill & Bar, and Olive Garden Italian Restaurant. In addition to those mentioned above, there are many more located in the area.
Interstate 4 and Florida State Road 528 are some of the main roads that go through Pine Castle. In addition, U.S. Route 441 runs through the town too.

In Pine Castle, there is currently no transit system available to get from one place to another within the town. The nearest public transportation is in Orlando, Florida, where the LYNX Central Station can be accessed. To get to places like the Amtrak station or the Greyhound bus terminal, one can go to downtown Orlando and take either of those there. The town does plan on building its mass transit system, though, in the future, this system will most likely include buses.

Greyhound provides intercity bus service at their station in Orlando on Colonial Drive, close to the Florida Mall.
Pine Castle also serves the town of Pine Castle with its 350 beds for patient care, full medical services, and a complete range of specialties, including cardiovascular surgery, orthopedics, radiology, critical care, and cancer care.
